Verifying identity in
a world of deepfakes

In an era of deepfakes, AI-generated content, and digital impersonation, organizations face a critical challenge: how do you verify that a communication actually comes from who it claims to be? Traditional digital signatures and certificates were not designed for the modern threat landscape.

The vLEI (verifiable Legal Entity Identifier) ecosystem, governed by the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF), offered a solution — but no platform existed to automate the complex credential lifecycle of issuing, verifying, delegating, and revoking verifiable credentials at scale.

Provenant needed to become the world's first certified Qualified vLEI Issuer (QVI), which meant building a platform that met GLEIF's rigorous certification standards while delivering a user experience that made verifiable identity practical for everyday business use.

Our Approach

Decentralized identity

DSi's enterprise engineering and AI teams built the world's first certified Qualified vLEI Issuer platform from the ground up. The system implements KERI (Key Event Receipt Infrastructure) for decentralized identity management — a fundamentally different approach from traditional PKI.

The platform manages the full credential lifecycle: issuance, verification, delegation, brand authority proofs, and revocation. DSi built the Evidence Engine for compliance automation and the Verifiable Verification Platform (VVP) for real-time credential validation.

The tech stack combines React and Next.js on the frontend with Spring Boot, Python, and Node.js backend services deployed on AWS with Kubernetes orchestration. The Signify-ts library enables browser-based credential signing, making the platform accessible without specialized software.
